We all have those days where you get to work and you just aren’t feeling it. Hey girl, GUILTY! The struggle is soooo real especially when you work from home. Your girl here used to live on soda and energy drinks to get me through the day. NEWSFLASH!!! I was making it worse on myself and I didn’t even know it.
Im going to share with you 5 ways to stay energized at work or while working from home but first I’m going to give you one simple piece of advice that changed my mornings. Create a routine and stick to it! You’ll thank me later!
This is a no brainer but get a full nights rest. You can’t stay up all hours of the night expecting to be refreshed and ready to perform at your best the next day.
Ditch the energy drinks and soda! Hydration is very important to feel your best and to be energized. Drink LOTS of water. Not only will drinking water keep you hydrated but avoiding the sugary drinks will help you to avoid that midday crash.
Schedule frequent breaks to stand up and stretch. Use this time to use the restroom or refill your water bottle. I like to set an alarm for every hour that gives me a positive affirmation to say while I’m moving my body.
Stop showering the night before. We all like to go to bed clean and that’s great but if you shower before bed make sure the first thing you do when you wake up is take a quick shower. This will you that boost you need to get going in the morning and makes it easier to get through the day without feeling sleepy.
Sunlight! Open your windows and let the sunshine in. The sun helps to boost a chemical in your brain called serotonin which will give you natural energy.
