I have always made my version of lasagna and never thought twice about it. I‘ve been asked a million times for the recipe so today I’ve decided to share it. I hate ricotta cheese 🤢 but I love cottage cheese! Don’t run off yet if you aren’t a cottage cheese lover like me. I promise you don’t have to like it to love the lasagna. This is also an easy meal to prep ahead so you only have to bake it. My favorite kind of meal!
• 1lb ground beef
• 1 pkg of oven ready lasagna noodles
• Everything Bagel Seasoning (trust me)
• 2 cans 14.5 oz petite diced tomatoes
• 1 can of Hunts meat flavor sauce
• 1 large container of small curd cottage cheese
• 2 8 oz pkg of Colby Jack shredded cheese
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
In a large pan season the ground beef generously with Everything Bagel and cook until done, drain excess grease. Combine 2 cans of petite diced tomatoes & Hunts meat flavored sauce. Mix together. In a large baking dish spoon meat mixture into dish just covering the bottom. Add 4-5 spoonfuls of cottage cheese over the meat sauce. Spread the cottage cheese to cover the sauce. Add Colby Jack cheese a little bit at a time to the top of your mixture. Cover with 3 oven ready lasagna noodles. Noodles will expand while cooking. Repeat steps two more times and finish with adding a layer of meat sauce to the top and generously cover with remaining shredded cheese. Cover with aluminum foil & bake for 25 mins. Enjoy!
